100 Day Trailblazers
My Goal: to double my average income over the next 100 days.
I moved to New Zealand 15 years ago and finished my Master of Business Study in finance in Auckland. I have been providing insurance and ACC advice to New Zealanders since 2006, working extensively in the areas of business and personal risks, but also facilitating estate and business succession planning.
We provide programmes that meet the specific needs of professionals – in particular, medical professionals such as junior doctors, house officers, registrars, senior registrars, GPs and specialists. Almost all of our medical clients have been referred to us by doctors who have been impressed by my excellent service and exceptional knowledge of how ACC and private insurance can best serve their profession.
I live with my wife Nikki and two boys on the shore. I enjoy playing basketball, badminton and skiing with my boys.
Every 3-4 weeks we post a progress report for each of our trailblazers. If you’d like to follow Tom’s (or any of our Trailblazer’s) 100 Day journey…please subscribe using the form below.
I’ve made some progress on my goal since starting the 100 Days programme almost 3 weeks ago. The programme has helped to put some structure in my work and helped with focus. I particularly found the 100 days planning and review processes useful in terms of prioritising my activity.
Structure. Taking the time to plan and structure my days/time has enabled me to focus on priorities.
Discipline: The 10 day sprint cycle and trailblazer reviews have helped me to stay focussed on the work needed to achieve my goal
Prospecting. I am looking to have 4 first appointments each week. So far, this is proving to be a challenge. I need to find new ways to engage with my contacts and look at referral opportunities.
Email Content. I am conscious of the need to keep in touch with prospects on my database. This requires me to put a structured email communication programme together. I may need to engage a writer to help me with this.
