Break it down!

Planning how you’re going to achieve your goal is critical to success. In this third video in our goal workbook series, Jennifer takes another look at how to use the workbook to break your goal down into bite-sized chunks.

REMINDER NOTE: The workbook you downloaded is an editable PDF form. This means that you can type into the various fields in the form. However, if you want to save it, you will need to make sure that you open it using adobe acrobat reader (Click here to download if you don’t already have it installed). If it opens in Microsoft Word (which some Windows computers do by default) you will not be able to save the information you type into the form.

Planning is key

Don’t underestimate the importance of planning when it comes to achieving your goals. Benjamin Franklin is credited with the quote: “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.”

Break it down

Understanding the steps required to achieve your goal requires that you break it down into easily digestible chunks. It’s how you eat an elephant – one bite at a time.

Set milestones

Milestones are like markers or waypoints on your goal journey. Figuring out where you need to be at various points along the way helps to keep you motivated and on track.
